The more I see from the GTA-meets-comic-book-violence mashup Prototype, the more I get excited that this game is going to earn the success that Crackdown so disappointingly missed.
Still, I’m happy that we’re only a month away from having another open-world action game that isn’t Grand Theft Auto or a shamless, terrible rip off of such.

Prototype will reach retail stores in Europe on June 5, and those American store shelves on June 9, reports Joystiq. No reason was given for the discrepancy, nor the seemingly strange ploy of offering the game to Americans second, but considering how often Eurogamers get screwed with their releases, they deserve to see a blockbuster a bit before us Yanks.
