Capcom offered up a new release date for the upcoming 3-D Bionic Commando early this morning: The game now ships for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 19.
The PC version of the game “is due to ship shortly after the console release.”
Here’s a quick synopsis direct from Capcom for those of you oblivious to the new Bionic Commando:
Nathan Spencer is back as a government operative who, after distinguishing himself in a fierce conflict against the Imperials, is betrayed and falsely imprisoned by the very people he unquestioningly served. However, when bio terrorists detonate an experimental device over Ascension City and then occupy it, there is only one option open to the authorities — reactivate Nathan Spencer.
Capcom has been on a roll lately, between its fantastic downloadable HD recreations of classic games, Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5. Here’s hoping that streak of quality titles continues with BC (even if that plot synopsis sounds suspiciously like the storyline from Demolition Man).
