Did you buy Metroid Prime 3: Corruption when it came out for the Wii? Looks like you got a bum deal, because now Nintendo is releasing Metroid Prime Trilogy for the same price. Sure, August 24th is two years after the original release, but an updated triple-dose of some of the best 2D to 3D transition ever for $49.99 is nothing to scoff at.
IGN got a chance to play with the new Metroid Prime Trilogy. Combining Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on one disc, the collection will add “New Play Control!!” enhancements, such as shooting with theRemote and moving with the Wii Nunchuck. Additionally, the single-disc release will have a unified menu system and unlockables added to the first two games.
