If Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was a bit too fictionalized for you, Konami has the cure: The company has just revealed Six Days In Fallujah, an action game based on the worst fighting from our current war in Iraq.
Developer Atomic Games sees the title as the most realistic virtual depiction of its kind, owing to its collaboration with “three dozen” of the soldiers who were present at the battle. In fact, the game strives for such intense realism, that the dev is using material from the title to craft a military training simulation.
“We’re not trying to make social commentary. We’re not pro-war. We’re not trying to make people feel uncomfortable. We just want to bring a compelling entertainment experience,” Konami vice president Anthony Crouts told the Wall Street Journal. “At the end of the day, it’s just a game.”

Unfortunately for Crouts, I think parents groups and politicians may see this as an attempt at profiting from the ongoing conflict. Expect moral outrage as soon as the game hits the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC platforms.
